Beyond the rain Things will never be the same Beyond the rain forever flowing change

W2W 02:31
I'm walkin to work in a world that's going berzerk Got to go to my nine to five even if I rather die I know I'm being dramatic but people are acting manic And the man don't give a shit, he just reaps those benefits It's never too late to change It's a shame we don't We don't change Oui I'm drivin to work in a car that runs on gas I feel like a jerk cuz the gas ain't gonna last What's wrong with being electric? It's not that hard to see When the sea is full of plastic, we're not short on misery It's never to late to change, we gotta We gotta change oui oui We gotta change oui I'm crying believe me, I don't know what's gonna save me Or all of us in this world, the planet owns it's spin and twirl We got to stop possessing, it hurts and it's depressing It's enough when it's enough, that don't apply when it's our love It's never to late to change

Thematics 02:29
You gotta be open to what will happen As there's nothing left to examine When you don't speak your mind, and you ain't got a house You wish to go back in time and you did something else Out of time, if you ask me it doesn't make sense Out of line, if you ask me it's hard to make sense Why close your eyes to escape When you have a phone that makes you feel not so great If your head hurts about our lives You can't keep on going closing no eyes, no Down and out, if you ask me it doesn't make sense Time to shout, if you ask me it's hard to make sense How is your voice when you don't use it? Do you have a choice still when the socks in your shoes lose grip? Does the world align with constellations above, the sweetness of limes, or the warmth of gloves? Just dumb luck, if you ask me it doesn't make sense Feeling stuck, if you ask me it's hard to make sense

Atta Boy 03:30
Atta boy, leave your worries for yesterday It's their's to keep Atta boy, things are starting to go your own way Nice and disorderly Like an awaken dream It's not up to me or you It's for you to decide Whether you're off of my mind Atta boy, take things lightly with a pinch of salt It's sweet enough Atta boy, be responsible when it's your fault You like it rough Like an awaken dream It's not up to you or me It's up to me to remind myself That it's gonna take time Like an awaken dream It's not up to yesterday It's for the sea to receive All the flows that come it's way You're out of your mind Get out of my mind
5.
Les Boo 04:46
Les Boo Who's that boogieing in the dark Who me? (Yeah you)! alright Who's that boogieing in the dark Who me? (Yeah you)! that's cool Les Boo Who's that boogieing in the dark Who me? (Yeah you)! Alright Who's that boogieing in the dark It's just me, that's cool

The Ballad 05:15
There was a time when it was easy, then it is hard How do you find to know you're repeating? You're back from the start To be home again To be your only friend Now, it's profound There was a time when we put flowers out in the yard How does it feel to feel your self falling apart? To be home again To plant another flower bed Now, it's profound There is a time to go back and wonder if you did the right thing Does it really matter if it was better? You can't go back We've been going through some shit like everyone But who would care unless it was someone's some one Our paths cross in mysterious ways Not all rainbows shine after it rains There was a time when we spoke easy, now words are hard Why do you find that your tongue is twisting when you speak from your heart? We've been going through some shit like everyone But who would care unless it was someone's some one And when you're going through some shit with everyone Remember that you're growing with with what's been done We've going through some shit We've been flowing with the rip We are growing Watch for rainbows Chasing rainbows Riding Rainbow River

Polly 02:05
I don't wanna hang with bad vibe toads I just wanna be friends who go with the flow It's easy to be lost being alone It's hard to see that staring at your phone I don't wanna be another joe blow I just wanna be your only one, don't you know that It's hard to be a stranger to your lover It's easy to be in danger when there's another 666 I just wanna be riding a wave In a river to the sea, it don't matter these days It's hard to think it's easy to be in love There's many you choose you might only need one
8.
I'm Ready 03:32
I'm ready to die without you No reason why but it's true You don't love me the way that I love you My love is free only for you Don't think like that, it's going to drive you mad You keep on telling me it's fine But it's hard to tell when you left your love behind To some one else that you will see again What's wrong with me with me? Will it end? Don't think like that, it's going to drive you mad I'm ready I'm ready to die without you No reason why but it's true You don't love me the way that I love you My love is free only for you Don't think like that, it's going to drive me mad
9.
I'm sorry that we came back to where you came from Where you are is not necessary where you wanna be Where you are with me I'm head to toe, full of love Gotta let each other grow Go with the flow Like a river's current it's is gonna take us there It is gonna take us anywhere I'm stuck feeling the same way When you wanna open us up to someone else I'm sorry again I'm in hell in a heaven It's not safe to say I'm happy where I am With you: "I still know that I don't want anybody but you" Grow slow there's a flower garden in your soul Like a river's current it is gonna take us there Go with the river Watch your ebbs they get lost in an ego mirror Flow with the river Watch your ebbs they get lost in an ego mirror Go with the flow of the river Watch your ebbs they get lost in an ego mirror

Be Fine 02:57
With Time, it don't matter what you say You can say it anyway that you like You can't bite your tongue like it's not there When it isn't very fair on you But sometimes you bite your tongue because you find That it really doesn't matter over time I like to see red, with a blue, shades of yellow and green Our eyes flow together like rivers to the sea To the pacific, to be specific With Life, you might find your self alone Even when you have a phone buzzing in your pocket You can live your life without that buzz When it's feeling all too much in your head But you flow, living life without a fuss Even when you have to answer to that buzz I like to see pinks, next to purples, even greys with hues of tangerine Our life grows old forever like the roots of the trees Riding rainbows With Love, you find you might only need one Even when it's so much fun meeting other people You can free your love like it's a bird Why it isn't just a word you used to say But it seems sometimes love can put you in a cage But it might just be the age we're living in

about

Rainbow River is the debut album from BC based psych pop group SPEAK EASY.

"After a turbulent move from the Okanagan in 2018, and with the addition of guitarist and producer Latham Reader, the band has navigated change and evolved alongside one another - two themes which are abundantly obvious on Rainbow River. Not only does this record showcase the evolution in production and songwriting, but it also tells a tale of the mystical journey down Rainbow River. The story follows a young being floating along through the ebbs and flows, highs and lows, and self-reflections of a post-normal existence. Recorded in the autumn of 2019 at 1330 Studios, mixed by Latham Reader and mastered by Loving’s David Parry, Rainbow River is a collection of eclectic tasting songs that diversify the theme of what it’s like to navigate your twenties."
